Academy of Security Educators and Trainers
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
On Friday and Saturday, February 3 and 4, 2007, the Board of Directors for the Academy of Security Educators and Trainers assembled at ASET Headquarters, Highlander Lodge, Bluemont, Virginia.
The subject of Security as a Science was discussed and it was determined that this needed to be explored as the theme for the ASET Round Table Conference, April 12-14, 2007.
ASET also has numerous prestigious security professionals in its organization – unmatched anywhere. Many of its members have decades of experience in the security industry, authored books and publications, taught, managed their own businesses and held high-level positions and directed protective details. Drawing on this knowledge and experience and their contributions to the input of Security as a Science will make for an interesting and forward movement for the security industry.
The role of the Journal of Security Education and its significant relationship, as the official Journal of the Academy, was discussed.
